I absolutely agree. a link with a nofollow tag is still a link and a link will always have a good chance of bringing in value or traffic to your website (of course with respect to the popularity of the page and it's SE standing - not necessarily SERP). What most SEO do nowadays is they just try to build a lot of dofollow tags to their websites - which looks really unnatural.

These all are White Hat Seo tips to optimize rank in search engine but now a days Google panda update has comes and according to it URL should be short so that Google index one's site easily ans it does not contain more "-" hyphens. "less hyphen more rank".
