I have been working in a credit management company (at a smaller level) and was with them for a quite a number of years. But, now I am planning to start my own business in somewhat a similar pattern. Since, I have been asscociated with credit, debit and accounts work so I would be interested in a similar kind of business. I don’t have a large capital to start a company but would like to have my very own business at small scale.Any suggestions on which business and what steps should I take??? Thanks
Regards,
Re: Don't quit your day job,,,,
While you are working...
1 Do the leg work for setting up a business in your town i.e
fictitious name statement, permit, bank account etc. (less than $500 in most cities)
2 get your domain name ($20-$100)
3 get a website built ($350-$3,000)
4 Voip Virtual PBx $30/month)
Then set an advertising budget.
I would get my website asap. Every day create a link with sites in your industry in forums, classified, etc. Write an article (500 to 700 words) and get it published in ezine. Alter this article for different industries so you have more potential links. Be sure to put a link to your website in all cases. If you do 2 a day, you will have 300 links or so in half a year.
Your business website, if done properly and registered with search engines, should start coming up in organic searches.
Develop interest and get a feel for how quickly you can start creating revenue..
Social networks, Linked In, Chamber of Commerce, etc
Be sure to check the competition laws in your state.
You may want to NOT directly compete with your employer.
Offer something they don't offer.
But simply put, you can have your own business set up for less than $1,000 tax deductible dollars.
Credit Mgt. is a tough and competitive business.
Good luck,
Michael
Re: What steps should I take???
Website building is the best business in today's world because it is recession free and provides you the control of all resources
