I think it is much more exciting creating a business from scratch I do not know why people would be tempted to fit into somebody elses model and not have the ability to change it - your thoughts?
Re: What motivates people to buy a franchise?
I think most people buy because they can get a quick start and they do not want to develop it from scratch
Re: What motivates people to buy a franchise?
I would buy a franchise if it was a product or service that I was interested in. Take fitness, for example. I enjoy the fitness environment and have a desire to start my own business. If a turn key franchise for fitness was available I would look into it further. Someone has walked gone through the mine field and I just need to walk in their footsteps.

I would too as long as the royalties were not that high
