Re: What is true partnership?

The partners in the PhD program at the School of Public Health at the University of Ghana have implemented the eleven principles of Research Partnerships with Developing Countries and disseminate them within their network:

1. Decide on the objectives together

2. Built up mutual trust

3. Share information; develop networks

4. Share responsibility

5. Create transparency

6. Monitor and evaluate collaboration

7. Disseminate the results

8. Apply the results

9. Share profits equitably

10. Increase research capacity

11. Build on the achievements

Re: What is true partnership?

I think there is no any measurement to find the true partnership. A true partner is not contribute only with his money but he also put his full effort.

Re: What is true partnership?

Hello Friends,
As anyone who has ever attempted it knows, building a partnership is a challenge. To build a successful partnership, one must be acutely sensitive to others' needs while keeping one's own concerns and goals in mind. A successful partnership is a balancing act that demands energy and empathy. And while developing a partnership can sometimes be difficult, the greater productivity and performance that successful partnerships yield make the effort worthwhile.Financial executives of health care organizations must continually make efforts to reach out to the organization's most essential professional partners - the physicians who admit and treat patients. Developing a true partnership with physicians may not be easy, but it is vital.
Thanks.

Re: What is true partnership?

very good information for the partnership.. A true partnership starts with the understanding that both sides have wishes ... A true partnership allows one party to contribute to those needs with the other and to have those needs understood and incorporated into an agreement that very simply allows both parties to make money...

Re: What is true partnership?

All relationships are a partnership. There are characteristics that define partnership.

Knowledge about which characteristics apply in a given partnership make the difference between a successful business partnership and a difficult one. The necessity for making an assessment can be difficult to accomplish for prospective partners. Often, they are irresistibly drawn to one another in the glow of a shared vision and the promise of financial prosperity. Potential partners will be rewarded by a heightened probability of a successful partnership when they are able to look beyond their initial enthusiasm and attend to considering their compatibility.

Re: What is true partnership?

A true partnership is that in which both the partners face together either profit or loss. The partnership only for profit is not good for us.

Re: What is true partnership?

Partnership” has become a throw-away word these days. Years ago, before working in the exhibit industry, I worked for a consumer products company. In my position I worked with a lot of plastic injection molders since our products were largely made of various types of molded plastics. A number of our vendors were also big suppliers to the automotive industry, in particular the US automotive manufacturers. The owners of those companies would talk to me about their “partnerships” with the “Big Three”. How they were invited to participate in “Vendor Days” and quality symposiums. Some of them were considered “tier-one” suppliers; others won vendor-of-the-year awards or were given plaques for superior quality. They were called “partners”, so in theory these business owners really thought they were partners with these huge corporations.

What most of them unfortunately learned later-on, was that this partnership was really a one-way street. Yes they got the business and yes they got their plaques and certificates, but in the end what they really got was dictated to. Many of them told me that they would be given a three year contract and that each year after the initial year they were REQUIRED to lower their price, regardless of material increases, regardless of labor increases, regardless of energy cost increases. They were basically told that in order to remain a “partner” they had to improve efficiencies each year and pass those savings (real or not) on to the customer. So the partnership was really not a partnership at all but rather a typical old-fashioned vendor-customer relationship where no matter how much circumstances had changed for the vendor the customer was really calling all the shots.

Re: What is true partnership?

Northern Development Minister Michael Gravelle will be visiting several First Nations communities starting Wednesday to discuss concerns around the Ring of Fire - a mining opportunity that's been described by Premier Dalton McGuinty as key to economic recovery.
It's a trip First Nations welcome, but one they say won't move development along unless their right to provide consent for work on their land is legitimately taken into account.
"It's nice when a politician comes to our territory and talks to us. It's a learning experience for them and I hope what they'll hear us and they'll take it to heart," said Grand Chief Stan Beardy of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation, which represents 49 First Nations communities.
"But at the end of the day there's political rhetoric and there's a legal requirement to fulfil."
In January, a group of First Nations angry about what they consider a lack of consultation set up a blockade on the landing strips at Koper and McFaulds lakes in the Ring of Fire, about 500 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay.
The action is preventing planes used by mining companies from landing in the area. The group says it will continue the blockade until all parties agree to address community concerns, such as speeding up construction of a new airport and ending the use of frozen lakes as landing strips.
