As the internet is growing and increasing on a daily basis and computers being in every home the ability to buy and sell directly online has become the internets number one commodity. People from all countries, cities within Canada, the USA and the rest of the world are buying and selling online. People love shopping but a lot people do not have time to go to a shopping mall, they do not have time to waste driving to and from stores. Online buying and selling is the way to start freeing up more time to do other things with families and friends.
The advantages of buying online are that it is quick, prices are usually lower priced, descriptions and comments can be seen by past customers. There is a large number of people buying online and if they are all satisfied you will be too.
The advantage of buying online can be that you are not phisicaly able to touch the product and it usually takes a few days for delivery.
The advantages of selling online is that you are able to reach a large audience, you are able to sell multiple items at low low costs without having a store and at times without even having a product or service.
The disadvantages of selling online is that your customers may find lower prices at other competitors, the internet is a large place and you have to carve out a niche market for you and your online products and services.
The only problem is knowing where to buy and sell online. There is a number of online Buying and Selling communities, a large number of classifeids websites, and auction sites. Which ones are the right ones to use? Which ones work and which dont?

Re: What are the advantages of buying and selling online?

One big advantage of buying online is the large selection of goods. Rather than being limited to a few local retailers, buyers can browse the goods of merchants from around the world. This may make it easier to find a rare or unusual item. It also increases competition among sellers of more standard items. Buyers also use search engines to find items that are for sale from retailers they may not have otherwise considered, removing some preconceptions about where to do business.

Re: What are the advantages of buying and selling online?

Hello
# on eBay.com, it is normally to the buyer’s advantage to pay with a credit card, whether via PayPal or direct or with an escrow service. Most credit card companies offer their cardholders some type of protection against fraud. Never pay using a check or money order, if possible. Online fraud is increasing according to consumer advisor Clark Howard.
# Leave eBay feedback only after receiving the product and addressing any issues you may have with the seller via e-mail.
# Use the numerous “My eBay” resources to keep track of your bids and offers and get e-mail notifications on your bids. The eBay community forums are the probably the best source for help available on eBay. Due to the huge volume of help requests, don’t get your hopes up for a human to respond back to a you and certainly not by phone.
# Watch the eBay feedback very closely. This is most important in judging seller credibility. If over 5% of the feedback remarks are negative or neutral, consider purchasing from another seller. Don’t buy from eBay.com sellers with under 10 feedback ratings if possible. Be especially careful of anyone with negatives on large ticket items.

Thanks
