What do you think the future of franchising is will it continue to grow or will it decline?

Re: Is Franchising Dead?

I think you are going to see more franchises but you are going to see a more flexible franchise one where the local busines owner will have a little more discretion about what product would appeal to the local buyer - but you have to be careful because then you lose the appeal of the business model template you are buying.

I agree good franchises are still hard to beat they just have to continue to innovate

According to franchisedirect, the future is looking bright, according to many market reports. This industry is growing fast and furiously with more franchisees owning several units, better technology getting incorporated into stores, and a new business model taking shape. Some of the factors leading to this are as follows;

  1. More Multi-Unit owners
  2. Enhanced Technology
  3. Business within a business.

If you thought that franchising is dead, you thought wrong. While the pandemic has definitely impacted all industries, some of them have proven to be resilient and have adapted to new technology. Businesses found no other option but to cope and to learn new ways to grow.
