Here are some tips which may help you:
1. Set clear goals. Write out your goals – and then follow through with them. Your goals should be both precise and practical. Along with your goals, you also need to plan a budget.Your budget is a tool that you should use to keep your expenses under control.
2. Right location, right product. In addition to having the right retail location after having identified a need in a particular area, you will need to provide the right products at the right time for your customers. This will ensure that you can supply products and services that the community has a need for.Once customers know that you will have products that they want in stock, you will earn both new and repeat customers.
3. Maintain the right quantity of products. Rotate your stock according to the buying habits of your customers. Use one of the many available software packages to track and maintain ideal inventory levels.
There are many different kinds of computer programs available that will help you manage your inventory. That way, you can order additional inventory during peak seasons, or reduce your inventory in the off-season.

1. Establish and exploit your USP. Make your business stand out from others selling similar products and services by making sure your Unique Selling Point (USP) is indeed unique. Devise a unique delivery plan or offer different services that require expertise that you can provide – and that are not offered by your competitors.

2.Acquire and maintain expertise in your field. Once you have acquired sufficient knowledge about your business’ products and services, stay ahead of your competition by becoming an expert on the products you sell. You can attend special workshops or seminars to gain that extra knowledge.

3.Concentrate on your target market. Train your marketing efforts on your target audience. Identify the type of customers that are interested in your products or services and concentrate your energies selling to them.

1)Target:You are not all things to all people. Decide on your niche--narrow your focus and broaden your appeal.
2)Be Different:If your competitors are doing it, don't. Stand out from an overcrowded marketplace where so much of the advertising and products look the same.
3)Build a Team:Don't hire an employee to fill a position. Employ a person to be part of a team to build your business.
4)Be Fast:Time is the most precious commodity. When delivery is expected Friday, show up Thursday afternoon. Return calls and emails now.
5)Say Thank You:A lot. Tell your customers and employees how much you appreciate them. Better yet, do it the old fashioned way: take pen to paper and write them a note.
5)Be Consistent:Make sure your business has a consistent look and feel. A customer must get the same flavor from everyone within your organization. Always.
6)Smile:Throw out the reasons you think people buy from you like price, product quality or your warranty. They buy because they like you.

Keep your customers for life. Maintain a good relationship with all your customers. Always meet their demands, but strive to exceed their expectations. Doing so will ensure that you grow a happy customer base. Do not let greed or dishonesty derail your long-term goals.

One satisfied customer can refer many new customers to you - and this type of marketing strategy doesn’t cost you anything.

Check the effectiveness of your marketing campaign. Too often, a company will spend heavily to advertise its products or services but they do not take the time to determine if it works. Furthermore, if the company is doing institutional advertising while it advertises its products or services, that calls accountability even more into question. Separate the two, then track the effectiveness of your advertising by analyzing from where your sales have come. If you determine that a high percentage of your advertising dollars do not convert to sales, reformulate your plan as soon as you can.

Consider raising prices. Often, companies are hesitant to do so for fear that the competition will steal their share of the market. There are cases, however, that the perception of product or service superiority increases when a company decides to raise prices. If you have any doubts, test the concept by raising prices on a small selection of your products. Review the results in 45 to 60 days and chances are you will be pleasantly surprised.

Insist that your salespeople upsell at every opportunity. It takes only a little extra effort to add to a sale. If you find that most of your people are not making the effort to upsell, there are a few things you can do. First, impress them with the notion that it is part of their jobs. If, through analysis, you determine that upselling has not been emphasized, then try offering incentives for the balance of the year. Upselling should become a habit.

Determine if your company has outsourced as much as it should. The best way to determine this is to think about the one thing your company does that results in the most profit, then analyze everything else from the standpoint of having someone else do it. What would life be like if all of your accounting were done by a service bureau? What if you licensed other manufacturers to make items you are currently making? Companies that selectively outsource day-to-day activities tend to be the most profitable.

Watch your company's expenses. There is no better way to increase profitability than to stop unnecessary corporate spending. For example, the cost of business travel is going through the roof, yet many companies are slow in addressing this budget item. Assess the criteria your managers are using for determining the necessity for travel and the safeguards they have in place. Could it be that many of your employee's trips are unnecessary? Could a telephone call instead of a personal visit satisfy a customer's immediate needs?

Hello friends

1. Add an Upsell:Depending on your shopping cart system, you can add an upsell right at the point of purchase OR right after purchase. The best time to make the next sale to a customer is while they still have their credit card out or the Paypal password handy. They’re in a buying mood. Sell more to them.
2. Add a Deluxe Version: Let’s say you sell a basic information course. You can add a deluxe version of the course which not only includes the information for example, but it also includes the templates to make it happen. If you’re selling the basic version for $200, you might offer the deluxe version for $300.
3. Increase testimonials: As more testimonials come in for your product or service, add those to your sales pages. These can be text, audio, or video testimonials. As long as the testimonials are focused on the subject and concise, they will almost always improve your sales.
4. Write more follow-up emails: Add more follow-up emails to your autoresponder sequence. Clients often ask me how many autoresponders should they have. The answer is as many as you can produce. I have a client now who has close to 2 years worth of autoresponder follow-ups in some of his series.
