Re: Advantages of B2B??

As one business meets another, the most effective advantage of B2B then is through collaboration. Businesses keep supporting other businesses such relationships formed between retailers and wholesalers, manufacturers and wholesalers and so forth. The more they "collaborate" with each other and utilizing their business needs, it makes greater results.

Re: Advantages of B2B??

A B2B designation, whether it's in the subtitle of a company or in the body of the main marketing materials, alerts potential clients to a source of services or products that are geared to them. Inclusion in trade groups, invitations to join other members in a group for B2B professionals and deference in the bid process can be helpful to promote business-to-business sales.

Re: Advantages of B2B??

# Concerns and Needs are Met – Due to having more people involved in the sales process, questions and concerns are addressed faster with more credible resources – like tech people working with tech people talking geek stuff! Credibility carries more weight with certain decision makers or key influences to the buying decision.
# Obtain a “Bigger Picture” of Offerings – Many times sales people only see a short term sale rather than a total (and larger) solution. When others are involved, particularly executives interacting with other executives higher level points of view spring into the picture. Now these actions may increase the size of the complexity, yet, the flip side is an substantial increase in dollar size of the project. Remember, your time is the same rather the sale is small or large – go for the larger reward.
# Different Departments Working Together - Here is a bigger relative to collaboration between cross functional groups or departments. When you spend more time with other people in your own organization you have a greater opportunity of building rapport and bonds with key people who can help you be more successful – now and in the future. Build those internal relationships, then watch how fast things get done.
# Obtain Specific Recommendations – Now we are looking at specialty groups who can advise the sales person on better ways to get things done. Which systems match the customer’s systems, or technical issues needing to be resolved for a smooth and quiet transition to your services or products.

Re: Advantages of B2B??

Hi

These are the main advantages of B2B:-

* When new products/services become available, they can be readily updated online (on a day-to-day basis if necessary). Consequently, the ‘catalogue’ is never out-of-date. If the catalogue were in printed form, it would probably be issued monthly and constantly lag behind, as there is no way it could be updated continually. Another plus-point is that it is far simpler to locate the product you require when using an online system, due to sophisticated search-engines that are available that will enable you to find what you are looking for at the push of a button.

* The end-users have complete control of the process. If a business such as Tesco were limited in the times they were able to place an order, the business would not be very efficient. Some goods would be out of stock for longer than was acceptable and the consumer might switch loyalties to another supermarket where products were constantly available.

* Payment can be made instantly and securely. There is no need to send cheques by post and set up standing orders, direct debits etc. Money can be transferred through secure an encrypted websites online.

Thanks

Re: Advantages of B2B??

B2B sales are also generated by providing a specialized product line or service not available to the general public. This form of B2B transaction is very common in the manufacturing world. A company which produces shaving cream in cans, for example, may need a specific plastic nozzle. Several plastic injection molding companies would send sales representatives to pitch their particular designs. These nozzles would be useless for individual customers, but a manufacturer may order thousands of them.

With the growth in electronic communications, B2B has taken on even more importance. Instead of simply focusing on business-to-business sales, modern corporations are conducting other financial transactions online. B2B communications are now being used to promote investment, trade stocks and form financial alliances. Because the price of these transactions is far beyond the reach of most individuals, there is no equivalent business-to-customer option available. Some B2B transactions handled electronically can literally run into the billions of dollars.

Hi

Business-to-business (B2B) exchanges or marketplaces provide dramatic opportunities to automate collaborative business processes with customers and suppliers, generate internal efficiencies, and reach new markets at minimal cost. The landscape is littered with hundreds of B2B exchanges that have failed, demonstrating that success is far from automatic. But many are still operating. They have learned how to take advantage of the opportunities and avoid the pitfalls of this dynamic new marketing channel.

B2B exchanges are online marketplaces for businesses to buy and sell good and services from other businesses. Automated business-to-business transactions are not an entirely new concept. Large organizations have been using automated systems for a number of years, and some have been programmed to exchange business transactions with other automated systems as far back as the early nineties. For example, General Electric's Aircraft Engines division had a system with which a customer could order a part, initiate the shipping process, be invoiced, and pay for the part, all without a single piece of paper and within a span of 45 minutes. However, these systems needed dedicated, expensive data communication facilities and required significant investments in large, complex software to be developed from the ground up before they even started working. The Internet brought down the cost and the technological barriers.

* Being on the internet and online means being available the world-wide over. All of a sudden you are reaching other businesses that would otherwise be out of your reach.

As you can see from the above, B2B is an infinitely more efficient way to do business.

Expert knowledge and internal inquiries across different departments may be necessary simply to get a quote. By contrast, a configurator makes all the information necessary for technically correct and precisely calculated offers available to sales staff, allowing them to work in complete independance. Customer service is delivered with higher consistency across the distribution chain, at a lower cost to the company.

Hi
Lower distribution costs
Companies producing complex goods are likely spend a lot of time and money responding to customer inquiries. Expert knowledge and internal inquiries across different departments may be necessary simply to get a quote. By contrast, a configurator makes all the information necessary for technically correct and precisely calculated offers available to sales staff, allowing them to work in complete independance.
