Re: 10 Ways to Cut Fuel Costs??

1) Car Pool:The most obvious, and widely known, way of reducing fuel cost is to car pool. Every day, millions of Americans set out to work or school, driving solo to and from their destination. If each one of these people found just one other person to share the ride, we would instantly save half of what we spend on fuel.
2) Comply with Recommended Scheduled Maintenance:Tune-ups and oil changes are recommended for several reasons. Not only do they keep your vehicle running in excellent conditions, and reduce the need for more expensive repairs, but this routine maintenance can also save you money at the pump.
3) Don't Fill-up at Noon:This might sound a bit strange, but the time of day when you fill-up your tank can be just as important as how much gas you put in. Filling-up at noon, when the weather is hot, can evaporate a significant amount of fuel as it enters the tank.
4) New Green Technologies:For thirty years scientists have been conducting research on com****ion catalysts and burn rate modifiers. Their goal, to combine aerospace technology and what is known about fuel additives in order to find a product to help reduce individual carbon footprint, while still preserving and preferably enhancing engine life.

Have a nice day

Re: 10 Ways to Cut Fuel Costs??

hello friends...

The good old days meant fuel up and go. Small notice was paid to managing fuel. But in the past year the price of oil has doubled, cutting deeper than ever into profits and causing owners and managers to adopt a new fuel awareness. Fuel management is a necessity.

Thanks for....

Re: 10 Ways to Cut Fuel Costs??

If you have a business that requires constant transportation be careful when you're in between jobs. Sitting in your car with the AC running can use an enormous amount of fuel, actually according to data from the U.S. Department of Energy you're using a quarter to a half gallon of fuel per hour or more to be exact.

Re: 10 Ways to Cut Fuel Costs??

Use of a Fuel Management System is the most powerful way to lower fuel costs and increase productivity. Available systems range from basic onsite refueling (which saves up to 20 minutes in wasted time and fuel each day, per vehicle) to automated fuel tracking (which details every liter pumped into every vehicle by date, time, quantity and fuel type) to telematics (which measures overall fuel efficiency, vehicle performance, tracks fuel waste due to idling, speeding, etc. and identifies critical areas to improve efficiency and reduce fuel costs and emissions). The technology exists so you can become a Fuel Manager and stay on top of your fuel consumption, one vehicle at a time.
