You may want to get some SEO work done on your site to get some organic traffic. Remind me what Shaklee sell is it nutrition products? With some more color on your business we could provide you some more support.

I agree. I haven't really looked into search engines but it is on my agenda for today! Shaklee sells nutritional products, vitamins, cleaning products, personal care, beauty and weight loss. All are non-toxic.

Here are a couple thoughts:

One of the things you may want to consider is developing strategic partnerships with other complementary businesses for example if there is a fitness site without nutrutional products you could place your products on their site and pay them a small fee.

One thing that I have never seen but could be a great idea for fitness enthusiasts are gift baskets for them

I Think if your are new to online business, then you must limit to just one website at the begening and market and prote your business to forum and also buy targeted advertising.

You can do this easily and for free by setting up a Google Analytics account (Google Analytics) and inserting the code they give you into your web page's HTML. That gives you a lot of tracking data.

Hi,

I agree with SBA. Displaying your top selling products on his site will be very good. You can offer him fixed monthly charge for the space or offer him commission based on actual sales.

Links from such site will also be very good for your site w r t SERPs to get top ranking in searcg engines.

One thing about the Internet is “ It has a life all its own!”
Meaning: Doing online sales is great but things like charge backs as well as back pain and computer drain needs an out let in your life.
One of the hardest parts that I have found in Online Sales is the Computer Bugunys which are feelings that you a small fry in a big pond who doesn’t even have your own product company URL.
How you can beat this is by getting out and promoting your business locally in person and also add that you have a web site. You would be surprised by how many people don’t use the computer that much and this wards off Computer Bugunys. By showing them you have a life and yes you can meet people with out your computer. Can help a lot!
Sometimes when you launch a new site just getting some one to ask you a question seems like a milestone. Every one especially in marketing online programs tells you how many people the Internet reaches all over the world.
This can not help you. If you join the click for pennies market at the stay at home computer bunnies place you may rot. If your are serious in starting your own business even if it is computer based. Family and Friends are great as is the next suggested people that the Bunnies tell you to try to sell to. But nothing is more fun then strangers. Go to the Mall, make a flyer, approach people. Come up with neat things to say to start a conversation even wear colorful kooky clothes.
Never say you just started. Never say you’re my first customer or things are slow.
Meet as many people as you can .
Even if you feel funny doing this just get out and do it.
