Evaluating Your Business Ideas

1. Does it help someone else?
2. Can that someone else pay for it?
3. If not, who will pay for it?
4. If the answer to 2 and 3 are “no” and “no idea,”, here’s a hint: wrong answer.
5. Can you do it? Meaning, do you have the capacity to do what it is you’re proposing to do?
6. Do you know how to promote it?
7. Can you sustain it?
8. Can you grow it?

Don't start a business just for the sake of starting one. Ideally, you need to have passion in your business. Otherwise it just becomes a job. Remember, "Do what you love and the money will follow".

Re: Evaluating Your Business Ideas

No matter how good a business idea is, if you don't really enjoy the task or purpose behind the business, it won't last very long. Yes many business ideas help other people but are you the best person to execute this idea? Do you really believe in or love what you're doing or is it just for the money. This is the question many people starting a business don't ask themselves. Simple ask yourself: Would I use whatever product or service I'm promoting to other people? If you do then you're the right person to run such a business, if not you have no business pushing it.
