Has anyone had any success in writing and selling ebooks online?
Re: Ebooks
We have developed information related products with our other site and have been very successful. We have about 5 books on Amazon and also get some decent sales through them. There are so many ebooks out there that are of poor quality unfortunately it cast a shadow on all ebooks. The best sellers are manuals or more business related books. Most of the ebooks for sale are about internet marketing - an over done topic.
Re: Ebooks
Most of the ebooks that offer you private lable rights are terrible thats why they are almost free, you are better served writing them yourself.
Re: Ebooks
We have written more manuals than ebooks and have had some success marketing them to existing customers
Re: Ebooks
I have developed ebooks and have sold them as private label books. My attempt is not to try to make money on the selling on the books but the amount of traffic it generates when they click on some of the links inside the books - it is too early to tell if it is working. I will let you know.
Re: Ebooks
Selling e-books is in fact one of the fastest growing online businesses. There are now hundreds of professional websites and organizations that now run online e-book stores. These companies are more than willing to accept submissions from amateur freelance writers. This means that you don't need a literary agent or need to be "connected" in order to sell digital books online.

Personally i love the idea of ebooks. I use them all the time. As for selling them..... I would have to say it depends on the book and information given.
Re: Ebooks
Hi
What are eBooks?
eBooks are books that are available in digital format.
eBooks are not meant to replace paper books. Instead, eBooks provide an alternate reading choice for lovers of technology. eBooks offer a new dimension to the written word, allowing books to be distributed and enjoyed so much more easily.
eBooks are ordered online and delivered electronically to your computer. You save money with no shipping and the lowest prices.
eBooks have many features that traditional paper books may be missing:
You can search through the text for a specific word or phrase
You can carry eBooks with you on your mobile device or smartphone
You can shrink or enlarge the text size
You can add digital bookmarks
You get instantaneous delivery
You help the environment by not using paper or requiring packaging
Thanks
Re: Ebooks
You need custom eBooks that are written specifically for your business and with your customers in mind. Pay a good freelancer to write the material, and plan to buy not just a a copy of the material, buy the full copyright. For a little bit more money, the piece is uniquely yours--a sound investment: You aren't going to find it repeated all over the web, for one thing. It will never be associated with a business other than yours. Also, in this scenario, you ensure quality control by working with a professional writer who is proficient in English. A lot of stuff floating around out there is badly written; the writers producing it don't understand grammar. Some don't even speak English. Ungrammatical, incoherent material can reflect badly on your business, and it can also lead to misunderstandings. No serious business distributes ungrammatical or otherwise poorly written material for that reason. Just order your own custom materials and buy the copyright, rather than distibution rights.

Re: Ebooks
Thanks for asking your question,
'Yes, I did write a tiny little eBook
a downloadable one in PDF-format'.
In the proces of creating a Blog to promote this little eBook (and being able to
receive feedback from readers) I discovered a possibility to also (pre) sell
'Other Peoples Products' meaning, complementary or related products
through Affiliate Marketing.
That actually inspired me to make my special Blog about
'The Home Business Lifestyle'
People can Preview my little eBook for free before they buy it, and yes,
besides also selling 'Other Peoples Products' (infact the turnover from
my Affiliate Marketing is even bigger) I also actually sell some of my little eBooks.
Currently I also use my Own Product as (one of the) Free Bonuses
that I offer to add a little extra value to some of my 'Other Peoples Product-offers'.
All the Best,
To your Happy - Small Business - Inspiration,
