I want to point out that many people are not aware of the fact that nonprofit corporations, in order to really enjoy from the benefit of not being taxed, need to file for 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, which could cost several thousands of dollars in legal fees to a specialist who can prepare this application correctly, which kind of beats the purpose of the whole thing.

Non-profit organization must be created by legislation in the government organization, or the court, and the Registry of Commerce, which is not intended to be a profit to owners or shareholders. It differs from a non-profit society in a meaningful way, because that is built to give a profit to owners or shareholders.
