Re: What is an Organizational Chart?

I like to think organizational charts as sort of visual and textual based cliff notes to paths of company success. I think you can design them in a number of different ways and for a number of different messages and projects. They serve the purpose of creating flow and direction for company employees. Can anyone post a good example of what a real organizational chart looks like? I always wondered what is the best way to deliver an organizational chart is?

Re: What is an Organizational Chart?

All the above sums it up well. One thing I would add is as an owner it is good to help determine roles and responsibilities and ensure there is no gap or missing job duty and also that people all managed by people in the same area. So you would not want a designer rolling up to someone managing sales when there is someone else who may be more appropriate to manage him

An organisational Chart is something like a diagram that shows the structure of an organisation and the relationships and relative ranks of its parts and positions.
