Whatever options you may wish to consider, please don't forget to look at Paypal. They make it really simple.

We used them on a site which we developed and we found them far simpler than (and competitive with) the main stream banks.
We used them on Digital Recall - Worlds First Free Digital Signage Software.

Initially we started with a bank, but we "gave it away" after all the hoops that we faced with them. too hard!

I would google shopping cart reviews we looked at some comparisons and we now have a proprietary shopping cart , shopsite and productcart. You can pay alot or take advantage of the open programming but you really have to decide what is best for your needs. Two other things will need is a payment gateway we use authorize.net and an ssl certificate - I hope that helps.

You have to get a merchant account like authorize.net and then you need a clearing house like eonline data and then you need a shopping cart like shopsite. It sounds a bit complicated but when you sign up for a shopping cart they usually have links built into the other ones

Currently I don't really care....!

Because I do 'Affilliate Marketing' my Affilliates do all the difficult stuff like 'Credit Card Processing' and things like that.

I have to say Paypal is the best way to transact online. Although there are some minor charges on paypal, its a minor price to pay for some peace of mind.

Online Payment is very helping for all because if we buy something from net or T.V then there we have to do payment online so its a very good thing. Most of online payment is done from credit or debit cards..
