We are a small company but we have three people that live outside the state and want to make sure they feel part of the firm - how do you communicate with people that arent at the home office?

Re: Communicating with employees

# It is simple to great communication is made about what you say very easily understood. Just realize that important messages or 4 without the burden of technical jargon get around better (or more) syllable words. Less is definitely more.
# Their audience know that it is important that people understand that there's a message to different groups have different levels. It is not demeaning to those groups - indeed, it is his honor that you have time to think of them. And to pitch your message to take care of her suit.
# Help is right hear about the best communication is more like what you say. The 'ears, a / Two-Face' is - that you keep them in proportion to use. People love you when you help them and more about them and their situation will get more information. See Dale Carnegie's 'How to win friends and influence people' - a good little book that has stood the test of time.
# It is important to note that when you are in conversation with someone, on the phone, face to face a group or maybe give them your full attention. Because of you from an obstacle or problem message - go on them and will lose its credibility.

Re: Communicating with employees

As mentioned already, skype is a wonderful tool to include all your employees in conferences that are being held. Sending out weekly company newsletters to all your staff, can also be a great way to let everyone know whats going on in the company, and to keep all your employees current on any new developments that transpired during the week.

  1. I'm always copied in their emails and conversations
  2. we have conference calls everyonce in a while
  3. we don't always talk about work

Re: Communicating with employees

Such a nice thread..good info..please would you like to help me?? I am in the process of hiring workers to work from home for my personal business. I am curious of a way to track their hours, also to chat with them while they are working. (I worked for HSN and they had an application that you had to download where you can clock-in and out, and chat with representatives)....

Thanks!!
