Re: SMS Messaging as a Marketing tool

Pros: It's direct and easily personalized. Cons: People need to opt in, otherwise anything you'd be spending would simply be spam.

You know all the features of your cars. You want to show off your great knowledge in order to build credibility with your customer. But if you lose their attention you will not get them to that magic buying state. To move your customers to an emotional place where they are ready to buy you must know what they want, and give it to them in a way that fits into their view of the world.

Re: SMS Messaging as a Marketing tool

Have I ever bought anything off the back of an unsolicited SMS? No? Do they annoy me? Yes. From personal experience I would not use them, but I'm not involved in any dodgy business - if you're involved in payday loans, gambling etc. any of these scams then maybe it's worth considering.

I have thought about using that, but I just don't think that it works well. I mean who many people do you think are going to want a text from a company often? I mean I know that I wouldn't really want that. I think that the best thing would be email. I know that some people really don't agree with it, but most people actually check their mail, and you can get people that way. You just want to make sure that it doesn't go to spam because no one checks their spam folder. But I just don't think that texting would work out that well.

SMS message marketing tools are as popular as they were a few years ago. This tool helps you send personalized text messages to a bulk list of contacts when, and how often you wish to send them. Creating the custom messages yourself or using SMS text messaging tools to automatically and quickly send out texts can be the easiest way to develop your business.

We use local SMS services. It's a great way to inform customers about discounts or new offers. We were pretty happy with it.

It is a viable solution. Often times even regulars don't know about some offers, so informing them is a nice way to keep the money going.

In today's day and age of broader digitalization, SMS is kind of a thing of the past. But sure, not everything can be run online so it can be helpful in notifying people about promotions and such.

It's a little old fashioned. Some here still use it as a way to reach customers but social networks are far better nowadays.
