I just moved to Arizona about three weeks ago. I was laid off my job in California and the cost of living out there is ridiculous. Before getting laid off at work, I slipped and twisted my ankle in the office kitchen. I knew that my employment was in jeopardy so I decided not to tell any managers.
My ankle still hurts, and is bruised. As the days go by I notice that it’s pretty bad - possibly a more serious injury than I thought. I do not have any health insurance, but, I know I need to get this checked out.
Shouldn’t my last employer take care of any of my new medical bills related to this on the job injury? Do I have to seek help from a California Workers Compensation Attorney or can I work with an Arizona Workers Compensation Attorney?
Re: At work injury advice needed
I hope you feel better. My guess is that you may having a difficult job proving that it occurred at your previous job if you did not immediately report the incident.
Re: At work injury advice needed
My friend has been strongly recommending me to visit this Califoria lawyer to talk about my situation. Do you guys think this is a wise decision?
Re: At work injury advice needed
Yeah it is a good decision. You should go to a lawyer to talk about this.
